Executive Summary


In July 1995, Linda Parks and Kathie De Filippo formed the firm of Parks, De Filippo & Associates, PA upon their departure from the Orlando office of KPMG Peat Marwick. At that time each was a member of senior management and had 20 years of experience as certified public accountants practicing primarily in the Central Florida area. The firm, as a whole, has more than 100 years of service to clients of all sizes, operating within many different industries.


While we provide basic attest services (compilations and reviews), the core strength of our firm lies in providing tax planning, research, compliance services. Our firm mission, from the beginning, has been to establish long-term counseling/advisory relationships with our clients.


Meet the Partners

Linda Parks, CPA, CVA, CGMA, MST

Tax Principal /Shareholder


Linda is a graduate of the University of Miami with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics. She also holds a Master's of Science in Taxation from Florida International University, Miami, FL.


Linda has 30 years of experience in providing high level tax planning, research, and compliance services to middle market clients in Central Florida, as well as clients located outside the state of Florida and abroad. Before venturing out on her own in 1995, Linda gained a wealth of experience in both technical tax matters, and in developing and maintaining long-term client relationships, working her way up through the various professional levels, first with Coopers & Lybrand (Miami and Orlando offices), and then with KPMG Peat Marwick.. Prior to starting her own firm, Linda held a Senior Management position with KPMG, Orlando.


Linda has devoted most of her career to providing services to clients in a variety of specialized industries, which include high technology, auto dealerships, manufacturing, entertainment business, retail and real estate.

Linda also finds time to teach graduate level tax classes in the Masters of Science in Taxation program at the University of Central Florida as an Adjunct Professor, and to guest lecture on various tax matters for various organizations, especially the Central Florida Chapter of the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Her annual tax update on recent legislative changes and court decisions affecting partnerships and S corporations sponsored by the FICPA is a “must attend" for many of the local CPA's.

Despite a daily schedule that would exhaust even most tri-athletes, Linda has managed over the years to pay her civic dues through volunteer services to several community and professional activities.


Kathie A. De Filippo, CPA, MST

Tax Principal / Shareholder


Kathie graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Science in accounting and a Master's of Science in Taxation. Kathie was in senior management with KPMG Peat Marwick prior to becoming a principal in Parks, De Filippo & Associates, PA.

Most of Kathie's career has been devoted to providing services to clients in a variety of specialized industries including manufacturing, retail, real estate, international, auto dealerships, high technology and agri-business. Kathie is a member of the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
